My art and design practice involves explorations of materials at a range of scales. Works almost always include repurposed materials. I allow the qualities of a material to guide the making of the work as I work with or against its properties. This process may prompt an investigation of lightness, translucency, opacity, weight, texture, sharpness, softness, bending, edges, suspension, or the capacity for movement.
